Abandoned Paper Factory, Black Forest, Germany

Established in 1907 by E. Holtzmann & Cie. AG, one of the largest German paper manufacturers, this paper factory operated in the Murgtal region of the Black Forest. However, after a century of operation, the plant ceased production in 2008, and has remained abandoned ever since.

Today, nature is gradually reclaiming parts of the site. Exploring this site, I couldn't stop the feeling of being in a post-apocalyptic world, similar to the atmosphere of the game The Last of Us, half-expecting some infected human to lurk around the corner.
